Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant needed in Yorktown, NY

Busy Construction Company is seeking a dependable, multifaceted Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of bookkeeping & office duties. Right candidate is a self-starter who can easily adapt in a fast-paced office environment. Construction industry experience is a plus. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • AP/AR 
  • Bank & Credit Card Reconciliations 
  • Payroll & Payroll Taxes 
  • Sales Tax 
  • Preparing spreadsheets 
  • Purchase Orders, Change Orders & Lien Waivers 
  • Maintain & track subcontractor’s Certificates of Insurance 
  • Answering phones & assisting in all general office tasks, as required.

 Requirements/Skills 

  • Proficient in QuickBooks 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel & Outlook a must) 
  • Ability to multitask, quickly shifting gears when needed, without losing focus 
  • Excellent time management 
  • Strong problem solving & follow up skills 
  • Excellent organizational & analytical skills 
  • Detail oriented 
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills 
  • Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to work diligently and efficiently
  • Must be punctual & reliable

Salary  $50,000 – $70,000 commensurate with experience.
